    What does your ser­vice agree­ment mean?

    With a Service Agreement, an own­er of a per­ma­nent (non-time-limited) license may access the lat­est soft­ware ver­sion and receive prod­uct enhance­ments, tech­ni­cal sup­port and, where appro­pri­ate, access to asso­ci­at­ed cloud ser­vices. A Service Agreement can only be pur­chased for a per­ma­nent license that has pre­vi­ous­ly been pur­chased separately.
    As long as the Service Agreement is valid, there are no sep­a­rate costs for soft­ware updates and prod­uct sup­port. This means an even cost break­down over sev­er­al years and a low­er total cost for con­tin­u­ous soft­ware upgrades.

    Why do you intro­duce Service Agreements?

    Many cus­tomers have turned to us and wish­ing that we offer Service Agreements to pro­vide a pre­dictable annu­al cost for ELPROCAD. Changes to the agree­ments with our part­ners / sub­con­trac­tors Bricsys ™ (which man­u­fac­tures BricsCAD ©) and Autodesk © (which man­u­fac­tures AutoCAD ™) requires us to change our own con­trac­tu­al forms.
    This applies espe­cial­ly to all net­work licens­es. Subscription agree­ments with Autodesk © require a faster offer of new ELPROCAD ver­sions that are com­pat­i­ble with the lat­est ver­sion of AutoCAD ™ — the need to cre­ate a match­ing ser­vice agree­ment for ELPROCAD xt (AutoCAD ™ based) user

    Does your Service Agreement mean that you go the same way as Autodesk’s sub­scrip­tion agree­ment (lease agreement)?

    No the oppo­site. Autodesk has stopped sell­ing per­ma­nent licens­es and now only sells sub­scrip­tions where the right to use the appli­ca­tion dis­ap­pears if the sub­scrip­tion ends.
    Autodesk thus stops sell­ing Maintenance Agreements with exist­ing Permanent License and only sells sub­scrip­tions. With the intro­duc­tion of Service Agreement, ELPROCAD has gone to offer a Maintenance Agreement (which Autodesk now no longer offers). An ELPROCAD license with a Service Agreement is still a per­ma­nent license.

    Do We Have To Sign Service Agreements For Our ELPROCAD Licenses?

    For ELPROCAD IC Single Licenses, Service Agreement is a prefer­able option, but not a require­ment to con­tin­ue upgrad­ing per­ma­nent licens­es. You can renew Single Licenses by pur­chas­ing upgrade to the lat­est ver­sion, rather than access­ing upgrades through a Service Agreement.
    For ELPROCAD ic Network Licenses (BricsCAD-based) and all ELPROCAD xt (AutoCAD-based Product) Single and Network Licenses, upgrades are only avail­able in the form of Service Agreements for all of the Company’s licenses.

    When will we receive the invoice for the Service Agreement?

    You should receive an invoice to renew the Service Agreement with­in 30 days before the Service Agreement expires — con­tact PROCAD Systems AB or your reseller.

    We have three ELPROCAD ic Pro licens­es — can we sign Service Agreements for only one of the licenses?

    No, for a Service Agreement to be valid, Service Contracts must be signed for all of the Company’s licenses.

    We have an old­er ver­sion of ELPROCAD ic Pro (Single), can we buy a Service Agreement?

    Yes, but you must first upgrade to the lat­est ver­sion. The upgrade includes a 3‑month ongo­ing Service Agreement which, after 3 months, you can choose to extend for anoth­er 12 months.

    We already have the lat­est ver­sion of ELPROCAD ic Pro (Single), can we pur­chase a Service Agreement?

    Yes, a Service Agreement is a cost-effective solu­tion for con­tin­u­ous­ly access­ing the lat­est soft­ware. However, for a Single License, it is not manda­to­ry to have a valid Service Agreement.

    We want to update our ELPROCAD ic Pro net­work licens­es to the lat­est ver­sion — do we have to sign a Service Agreement?

    Yes, if the license can be upgrad­ed. When pur­chas­ing a new license, a 6‑month Service Agreement is includ­ed free of charge. Upgrades to the lat­est ver­sion include a 3 month Service Agreement. These Service Agreements must be ter­mi­nat­ed in order for the Service Agreement to not be renewed for an addi­tion­al 12-month peri­od. In the case of upgrades, ter­mi­na­tion should already take place when order­ing to avoid a renew­al. Network licens­es with­out ongo­ing and valid Service Agreements can not be upgrad­ed in the future, but only update of the cur­rent soft­ware ver­sion will be avail­able dur­ing the remain­ing prod­uct lifecycle.

    We want to update our ELPROCAD xt licens­es to the lat­est ver­sion — do we have to sign a Service Agreement?

    What hap­pens if we choose to can­cel our Service Agreement?

    If the Service Agreement is not renewed and it expires then you may con­tin­ue to use your per­ma­nent licens­es. You will have access to any updates to your cur­rent soft­ware ver­sion but no longer access to future soft­ware ver­sions, asso­ci­at­ed web ser­vices, or prod­uct sup­port includ­ed in the Service Agreement. — If the license is an ELPROCAD ic Pro / Basic (Single), you can upgrade it to a lat­er ver­sion of ELPROCAD. — If the license is an ELPROCAD ic Pro / Basic Network License, then the license will no longer be upgrad­ed. — If the license is an ELPROCAD xt (AutoCAD) Single or Network License, then the license will no longer be upgraded.

    We already have the lat­est ver­sion of ELPROCAD ic Plan, can we buy a Service Agreement?

    No, we do not offer Service Plan for ic Plan Licenses yet. Hopefully, this will be offered to all ic Plan users in the near future.

    We have spe­cial requests regard­ing the sup­port sec­tion of the Service Agreement — can we sign a sep­a­rate agree­ment with you?

    Extended Service Agreements are avail­able under a sep­a­rate quo­ta­tion for all cus­tomers with more than 10 ELPROCAD licenses.
